To all the replies to this post. You probably have never even thrown a ball much less coach a team. Get some other hobbies besides being negative on Tigerdroppings. You are sounding like bama fans. Always Whining.

Mettenburger

Stopped reading here and that was probably too long.

GTFO. You call yourself a "real tiger fan" yet can't spell the last name of the best QB this program has seen since Matt Flynn.

Myles and/or Narcisse will be best Qb situation since Mettenburger

....this is no where near a given. In fact I'd say that the odds are that neither of these guys will be as good as Mett. I mean hell look at who will be coaching them.

quote:

Defense will be nasty. Don't believe the melt, as we have enough top=tier horses at every position, and Aranda.

This will be the only reason we get to 6-7 wins next year.

quote:

Curry, Provens add options at RB. No LF7 or DG5, but we have CEH and a few other horses. If the passing game picks up, we won't need a brutal back. Maybe Ducre can be that brutal back. More options than people have indicated.

Again, this is pure speculation. A lot of this depends on the O-line which is a question.

quote:

Our WR haul is arguably tops in country with Marshall and Chase and others, atop a very strong base. Lots of height, athleticism, speed and height.

This isn't the first time that we have had stud WRs. It hasn't helped us much in the last decade.

quote:

Ingram, Charles, Deculus, Brumfield and Traore plus others will be a very stout line.

Very much in question....although Ingram and Charles could be studs before they leave...let's see how they do leading the stable.

quote:

Signed the best kicker we could find.

#yay

quote:

2019 Louisiana class is very strong.

What is going to make them make different decisions from Robinson, Collins, Hootie, Devonta, etc? Unless Zero is fired then maybe.

quote:

We have the 3-level guys on D that make for awesomeness up the middle. Rashad-White-Delpin

Again...D will be our only saving grace next year.

quote:

Dline depth will be much stronger, more experienced and more deep. This is the true parameter of interest for a strong LSU team, and we have not had that in a few years.

Agreed

quote:

Greedy is probably the best Corner in the nation, or at least the conference.

Hmm...he is good but that might be stretching it.

Those are all legitimate positive points you have identified. Many of those points would have been today's main talking points had Orgeron not been outclassed on the recruiting trail this morning.

The problem is the unfavorable disparity in head coaching ability we will face in at least 3-4 games next year. That cancels out most of your points, or at least enough to put us back in the Citrus Bowl and third place in our division.

We are not getting to where we want to be, despite having a lot going for us.
