I’m embarrassed for you. For someone to defend and worship a colossal frick up and shite bag human being such as Ed is insane. It’s called blind loyalty or you have personal skin in the game and you’re melting.

The majority of what’s been posted in this thread about Ed is spot on. 2019 was amazing and we’re almost assuredly will never see a season like it again.

He deserves credit for 2019 but outside of the end of 2018 along with 2019 he has been what everyone knew he is from day one: a good recruiter and DL coach. Without Burrow and Dave he’s garbage. If you look at his head coaching career, he’s performing about what would be expected for the worst coach in Ole Miss history.

It was painful watching some of the Les teams but one thing about Les you can’t knock is he at least had an identity and a philosophy of being physical. Ed has no identity. His philosophy was “be like USC from 2000s” and now is “we going to run Brady’s offense from 2019”. I don’t think O deserves any slack. We certainly didn’t give Les any and he never had a losing season. The last 11 games have been the worst since Curly or Gerry’s last season.

Again, 2018 was good and 2019 was the best but the chances he catches lightning in the bottle twice is zilch. He knows his goose is cooked. The only question is how much damage will he do on his way out as he continues to lose?

It’s a sad situation all around. I hate it for the players and the program. You can bet your arse Woodward will get someone to turn the program around in a hurry. And 1 thing is damn certain; LSU can win championships with coaches who wouldn’t be considered great and when LSU hires an good - elite coach we’ll stay on top of the SEC with the team 2 states over.
