I actually thought about the same thing. This situation is a lot like max Johnsons. Almost like they are doing what their dad told them instead of the coaches, but at the same time the coach is scared to bench them.

So we have a lot of people arguing that BK has a huge ego and won’t make any changes that might admit he was at fault or wrong.

But at the same time, he is letting a players father dictate terms?


Those 2 things don’t seem to be able to coexist

That isn’t clear.

The right decision is the guy that will ultimately be the better QB.

It’s always easy tj assume the backup will be better. That’s highly unlikely. Van Buren hasn’t really shown the ability to be better.
