I disagree, once the ball crosses the plain it's an automatic td. The ball come loose after it made contact with the ground after crossing the plain.
Of course it doesn't matter now.

Mett ran a play CLM did not want run and he did not want a review because he did not want to add to the score. Game was OVER on CLM's terms! Classy Boss!

I don't think Mett thought he was gonna have a shot at a TD. In hindsight yeah maybe not the best call but who would have been able to predict Mett would have been that wide open. He probably expected a 10-15 yard gain at most

with Mett's speed, i guarantee that he didn't think he could score on that bootleg
