I got crucified on here last year when I said LSU was going to go 8 - 4. Turns out I was optimistic.

This year I am trying to be more optimistic with a proven D-coordinator and a Soph QB.

FL is a loss, barring injury to Tebow. GA, AL, and OM as away games is worth at least 1 loss and possibly 2.

Then there is the inevitable SEC "upset", which could be Ark, Aub, and yes, even Vandy.

So 9 - 3 or 8 - 4, and book a trip now for the Cotton Bowl.

9-3 is reasonable considering a probable loss to UF and I think we drop 1-2 to Ole Miss and one unexpected team.

9-3 or 8-4 at WORST.. not "at best" sorry to burst your bubble.

at best this team goes 11-1 or 12-0.

uga and bama are taking steps back. i don't care those are road games. and ole miss has 1 successful season and all of a sudden are these huge favorites.. lets just see how it goes.

9-3 is my call, 5-3 i conference. Maybe 10-2 if our QBs really, really step up. I like Jefferson as our starting QB, but I don't see him leading us to an 11-1 season; that's just asking too much from a guy playing his first full season of SEC football.

I really don't understand why people just throw in the towel against UF. Tebow is good, but you'd think he's Tom Brady or something the way people talk. Get pressure in his face, and you'll see why NFL scouts have questions about him. In a rocking Tiger Stadium, a legit D-coordinator will be able to do that.

On the other side of the ball, all of those small D-linemen that got a big jump off the snap in the Swamp last year will actually have to hang in against a power running game. They couldn't do it two years ago. Their really good, yet smaller CBs, will have to stop probably the most talented crew of big WRs in the nation in Lafell, Toliver, and Randle.

Just don't understand the "Woah is us". We spend four years over every recruit we sign, and then act like they can't play once they get here. I know UF is good, but I personally think we have the potential to be damn good too. And just as importantly, the game is in Tiger Stadium on Sat night.

Dont forget bowl game. I'll be happy with 10-3 as long as we dont give up 50 again, or loose to a shitty team, win bowl game. I'm confident they can beat Bama & Ole Miss. UGA & UF I'm worried about.

Not sure why people would worry about a team with Joe Cox at QB and no proven RB. It won't be easy, but it would have been 5 times more difficult with Stafford and Moreno.

Worry away though.

the game is in Tiger Stadium on Sat night

How do we know this?

No way I'm throwing the towel in against UF especially if it's Saturday night. The last 2 times they came into Death Valley as the defending champs they lost. We got a score to settle with those guys. It will be all out war & I can't wait.

Bc CBS has chosen it as their one primetime game for the year.

Unlike some LSU fans, they aren't stupid. They know that it will be one of the best football games nationally of the year.

I guess we shouldn't play the games since we already know we're going 9-3. Thanks Chinaski.

Getting goose bumps just thinking about that game. Slug fest. They'll be spit, blood, snot & slobber all over the field.
