i saw some old footage of him on the NFL network one night ... fast as shite on the fly patterns .. but the weather rendered him absolutely useless in the ice bowl in 1967 at green bay ... he was running pass routes with his hands stuffed in his pockets in his jersey ..

yeah, i have seen old film of him where he would be so wide open he would stop, wait for the ball, catch it, and still score untouched.

In other words he is not known as a great starter but rather a superb finisher.

completely wrong. If you ever watch any of his races you would know he is known for his fast starts. I'm am really surprised he didn't even come close to setting the record.

could running with the slow OL and kicker/punters have hurt Holiday? Yes, i know he isn't racing them per say, but it wouldn't have the same electricity, guys competing for the fastest time, adrenaline, etc as when the skill guys run.

"Unofficial" means some fat-fingered coach is distinguishing 100ths of a second with his fricking thumb. The times are garbage.

Why is it so hard for people to realize just because someone is fast at the 100m etc does not make them fast at the 40 time?

You're talking about a guy who can get to 50 meters faster than Usain Bolt.

Blocks and gun reaction his whole life vs. no blocks and no gun in the 40.

But you'll have to come up with a good reason why a lack of blocks and a gun would have a greater effect on him than on anyone else.

I called him having the fastest going into this. I really did think Trindon would beat 4.25 though...
