This unfortunate event is somehow tied to the status of the football program today.

Bo Rein was considered the master of the "Veer" offense. It was an effective offense at the time. I once heard some commentators(JOX) say that Rein may have gone on to win numerous championships at LSU.

He had good success coaching, but he forgot to recruit future players. He didn't like recruiting.

Arnsbarger was a boss and we went to Sugar Bowls and Sec Champs. Had he stayed we would have won national championships. Archer, Hallman, Dinardo were clowns and were the low tide for LSU fort all in the last 60 years.
