So what happens when 3 SEC teams are in the top 4?
For all the BS the 2003 BCS was not that bad....it viewed a loss as a loss. Granted the strength of schedule and opponents SOS got deep, but I'd take that over some bullshite reporter subjectively marketing a team.
Small tweaks....nothing added for winning conference BUT a penalty for not winning the conference this way the Boise States of the world don't get rewarded.

killed their chances especially giving them 2 losses. Selection committee doesn't look at talent of football team rather they look at resume. Colorodo must have had the better resume that year.
Tennessee was the consensus best team in the SEC, without Tennessee, NO team from the SEC would represent - that's not gonna happen

again resume, LSU that year didn't even win the west, so we aren't the champions of a BCS conference. The committee likes teams who win their conference, so that crushes our chances
Alabama didn't win the West last year either, duh? that argument has been completely debunked and the reason everyone wants the 4 best teams regardless of conference champ.

the committee would lose all credibility if they choose a once beaten team vs a unbeaten team both from conferences. Florida losing to bama hurt their chances, again not a conference champion causes them to loose out again.
This is the easiest of all, Fla had lost No. 1 Alabama in the SEC champ. Fla. still remained ranked ahead of both Cin and TCU. Voting either in a final4 ahead of Florida is asinine.
your failing to understand that conference champions in the new final 4 format will be given preference but it will not be the sole determining factor

i doubt Louisville had a better team since LSU arguably had one of its most talented teams.
Whether LSU was more talented is subjective opinion and irrelevant. Lousiville was 11-1 and Big East was rated as the #2 conference that year. Better record, conference champs should trump "most talented". If accomplishments don't trump subjective opinion, why play the games at all?

nnessee, who LSU defeated in 2001 SEC champ, would likely have made the final 4 but SB nation choose not to place them in. Doesn’t make sense, Tennessee was loaded.
Again subjective, but they where not in the final top 4, they were #6. LINK

In 2009, Florida gets the snub from SB nation choosing instead Cin. and TCU, that’s insane, Florida would eventually crush Cin. in the Sugar Bow. 51-24
First of all you can't use hindsight to make these judgements. Next Florida was #5 in the final BCS rankings and lastly, how horrible would it be to have Alabama crush Florida in the SEC CG only to have to play them AGAIN the next week? Talk about cheapening the regular season.

First of all, I think Florida was the consensus best team in the SEC in 2001, next of all, sorry, the SEC in 2001 was not the SEC of 2011. It was not the best conference, the Big 12 was and the Big 12 had 2 teams in the top 4.

You should do research, Florida was rannked #5, as they should have been after losing the SEC CG by 20.
2009 Final BCS Rankings Florida #5
AP Poll, 12/6, look who is #5
2009 Florida does not belong in a 4 team playoff, no matter what standard you use.

Especially when SC & ND make it with 8-4 records.

right the media, is so biased in favor of USC, that's why they were #5 in 2008 with an 11-1 record. You guys need to get over your silly insecurities.
