Who replaced who? A top 10 football program doesn't have
3-5 loss seasons even in so-called rebuilding years. Can you see Alabama, Clemson or Oklahoma having 3-5 loss seasons any time soon? LSU needs to improve its recruiting dramatically.

my point is he will likely have some ups and downs just like anyone else playing a new position for the first time. Or someone that has missed 2 full seasons because of injuries

he made a couple of plays saturday which prompted the announcers to mention him and how he's been off to a good start.

We aren't really young i think Les just missed on a couple of guys in evaluation or they just aren't as good as expected.

Xavier Lewis has been here 3 or 4 years and was supposed to be the heir apparent to Thomas. He was beaten out by Vincent.

Gilmore and Lacouture are 5 year guys and were 4 star recruits, they should be better than they are.

Kevin Toliver is reaching bust status, he was supposed to ease the blow of losing TW. He and Donte were both 5 star corners.

Ed Parsi, another 5th year guy and 5 star DB hasn't done anything.

I had LSU going 9-3 because of the reasons in this thread but I never dreamed we would be completely and utterly dominated by Ms State like we did People are acting like this was a normal loss. It wasn't.

This.

I could have easily handled a 7 or 10 point loss to State. State is a good enough team to give our past few teams a loss like that. But. being blown out by Moo State should NEVER happen to LSU.

we're pretty young on defense especially at LB and DB.

but yes i agree with you an as i said in my post a lot of the returning players are not that good, especially at OL and along the DL, and especially at WR. Chark is a WR3. Gage should never play outside of mop up duty. Dillon is a rotation guy.

which is curious as to why O is getting so much heat. I know ultimately he is the head coach, but fans need to realize what type of talent we have and the age of the talent. This was always gonna be a rough year.

I agree with much of you said; however, never in my wildest dreams would I believe a Dave Aranda defense would be so out of position, especially our Defensive Backs. Defensive line getting blown off the line. Little outside containment.
