Only if we win the title...
And I think we will, so the answer is yes.
This will be a long offseason in anticipation of next season.

Agree. You know there will probably be a #44 or #37 type out there who is playing the wrong position or should not be on the field in the particular down-and-distance situation, but maybe this is the year we don't have such a thing? That would be great. Even if one of the LB's or possibly a safety (if Loston goes to LB or injury bug hits) becomes such a baggage player, we should have enough offense to build a margin to still win each game we play baring something unusual.

Very few schools have two very capable tall WRs.

Arky prolly will, which is the game i am most concerned with next year.

Maybe. We'll just have to see. They do lose all of their WR core. Adams, Wright, Childs, they're all gone.

That TE Gragg will be there and we all know Petrino is a big passing coach, not so much running the ball but that's nothing to sleep on either.

I feel good about that game. Hell, they almost lost to TROY, in Fayetteville, last season with the players I just mentioned.

This is an LSU thread about the possibility of 2012 being the best LSU team. A.J. McCarron wasn't really "battle tested", but I'm sure that didn't stop you guys from being optimistic about the season.

This is all true which still makes me so mad we're not going for two in a row.

One will be fine. NC's don't come often and a championship next year will make everyone forget about that horrible showing last Monday.

I agree with your position breakdown but those trips to Florida and Auburn in October and ending the year at Arkansas in even number years always make me nervous.

Tough places to expect wins even when they're down.

That said, I can't wait to see how this team handles it!!!!

Should we be concerned about TM7 getting matched up against a taller WR?

I am a huge TM7 fan and he is a playmaker, but I also have concerns with this. Beyond that, I agree with the OP, the future is bright!

I believe the OP makes some good points. As a fan, we all wish our team the best and hope that they excel. This very well could be as great a team as last year. Let's hope so. GEAUX TIGERS!

As for the OP being a Rutgers fan, I was born and raised in the shadows of Rutgers Stadium so this one's for you:

in ten years, 2011 will be looked at as one of the best.

but spot on plus a few other major things.

-frank wilson/ron cooper still here.
-john back to run the defense.
-les back to run the offense.

and TM7. if he comes back with the same kinda chip on his shoulder (which he should after losing the ncg) it'll be special. cause he's the leader, he's the catalyst. he, imo, is the reason we did't have a let down throughout the regular season. the way he plays and practices.

Yeah. It is difficult to imagine how LSU loses to any of the teams on the regular season schedule.
