I still think he is an excellent linebacker coach...specially when we needed him.
Yeah you. You argued he was a better d-coordinator than Muschamp and Pelini when Hudson was still in Carolina.

The only thing I am worried about is the tigers staying healthy.
Always an X factor. But apart from a rash of injuries I think we gone rock on D. While certainly a legit question in the OP in light of how much talent we lost, we should be dominant on DL and in the secondary and no worse than "ok" at LB.

I am not crazy about Muschamp and Pellini becomes predictable after a couple of years..both good, not as great as people make them out to be.. let's see what Hudson does.. I just like his aggressive style most of all.
so far Fl St is improving ..
so far:
"He is one of the architects of Florida State's rapidly improving defense. In particular, the Seminoles' linebackers were considered to be one of Florida State's most improved units in 2010 and took the next step in 2011 as FSU ranked fourth nationally in total defense."

There's not much proof he can do better coordinating at major colleges.

He may be the next Jim Johnson but I'm not convinced of it yet.

THAT... no one knows, but I like what he did with little talent at EC and what he is doing at FL St... none of us can be judged on the future, we just bring our resume with us. I also though the "price" was right, he was not an expensive gamble.
I also liked that he was on the way UP.. sometimes we get coaches that HAVE BEEN GREAT, on the way down....that is even trickier to predict and certainly costlier

But I still don't know he's more skillful than Muschamp or Pelini. You are talking about two coordinators that have been associated with alot of success and have great backgrounds. UT would not have made the title game without Muschamp a few years ago.

Yes, but trust me, I have been thru that age group, THE ENERGY and PRODUCTIVITY starts to dwindle and you end up paying off a huge contract.
Hudson was a great value....you will take a chance on either..sometimes it is best to go for the one that's hungrier. The job is requiring more and more energy, not less.
I think M and P are very good, but both somewhat overrated...M more so than P.

Both are younger than Hudson.
