Hate to say it, but because they didn't give Jarrett Lee a chance...we needed a pocket passer for that game, JJ couldn't scramble against that Bama D

Has any pocket QB beaten Bama since Saban has been there??

but T-Bob was on the radio here shortly after the game saying all the rumors about locker room mutiny and the like were false.

I passed along the information I was given, whether true or not isn't something I can honestly say. What I can say is that offense literally stunk. bama was getting pressure on the QB rushing 3 and 4 dlinemen. The oline was beaten consistently and handedly. Miles did nothing but stand on the sideline and watch as that debacle unfolded. So, for whatever reason the oline didn't play worth a damn is a moot point, the fact remains they didn't play well at all, they were not pumped entering the game and they showed no intensity at all.

hiring Stud wasn't really a bad move since he'd been an OC before, and had some success with it.

That offense was banal and predictable. So I must disagree. Stud had success at Bowling Green, but he was not capable of competing with the likes of bama. If LSU had a more capable OC I still believe they win that game, if Miles left him alone.

All I can say is LSU's offense didn't show up for that game. We can go back and forth all day blaming this or that or him and them, but the fact is that offense was more than horrible. It was an embarrassment to say the least. Blame must go somewhere. I blame the coaches. It's their responsibility to put players in the best position to be successful and make sure they are confident and ready to play. And Miles never beat saban again. There's a lot more to it than bama having better players.

s amazing how many people don’t remember this, and all the swirling rumors

Because that's all it is, rumors. Rumors made up because fans like you just couldn't take the loss. Bama was better that day. And that's it.

Kind of like, how the frick did Tennessee lose the seccg to LSU? We were better that day.

Miles issue wasn't elevating stud on the back of Krag having Parkinson's. It was keeping him there the entire next season, then demoting him in 13. Just don't see how he thought that would work out.

The tall skinny true freshman QB that Clemson has is a pocket QB and they just torched them by 4 TDs. Mettenberger torched them in 2012. Hell, Georgia's last two games with pocket QBs, they've gained yards at will on Bama (they just shite the bed on defense in both games).

It's more about the offensive system than it is about the pocket QB. If you have an accurate QB that doesn't play in an offense from the 2000s then it works. If you have a pocket QB that needs 5-7secs for plays and routes to develop, yes you are going to play right into Saban's defense.

What happened is nick saban knew les miles was going to try and force that square peg through a round hole offensively and wouldnt change his gameplan or strategy from the first time tlwe played them and beat them. Saban coached his defense up to completely so the run and control the line of scrimmage and knew that our dumbass coach wasn't going to stop trying to physically dominate Bama when it was clear that we couldn't bc they had gameplanned to stop it from haopening. He knew les was hard headed and wouldn't change a thing, no matter how obvious it was that we needed to try something different. Miles cost us that game, period. One of the worst coaching jobs I've ever seen, without even considering what was at stake and how big of a game that was. Miles didn't grasp the magnitude of that game and the future impact it would have on both programs...saban did. Miles got out coached, badly, and he played right into what saban knew he was going to do. It was still a 2 possession game in the 4th quarter, we had the same amount of talent as them. They weren't simply the better team, as we had beat them earlier in the season lol. They were just coached up very well, and read our gameplan like a damn book. Once it was clear that they had us figured out, what does miles do? NOTHING AT ALL! Miles lost a good portion of the lsu fan base that night and was never able to regain them back, and rightfully so. That game will liss me off until I'm 6 feet under. I just don't get how someone can be so damn hardheaded and stupid. The 2011 lsu team went from being one of the best teams EVER, to being forgotten, in just one night. What a shame.

Jefferson should have never been starting QB....

Politics at LSU ruined our chances of a NC....

Somebody thought that Jefferson should be the starter because he’d have a better chance at the NFL...

But NFL scouts could see what all the fans saw on the field....how did he do in the NFL? Zero....

All he did was embarrassé himself and the team...Bama was able to easily scheme a defense to stop his run game and he had no pass game...Bama just loaded the box with big linebackers and begged Jefferson to throw over the top...

Simple.....

Nope, they were not down 14 - 0. Yes, the offense was putrid in the 1st half, but dominated the 2nd half.

Sorry it was 10-0 with a wide open TD pass dropped.

That dominating offense of yours?
5-13 for 30 yards
1-9 on third down

237 Total yards
TOP 14:04

IIR we had a PRTD, and Pick Six, and another PR that resulted in us being in the red zone.
