You can go on. It will still show LSU ahead of Arkansas in attendance every season since the mid 90's except for 2007. (Our worst season in 25 years) And we still had better attendance than Arkansas in 2006. (Our second worst season in 25 years)

NCAA.com
It pisses you off doesn't it? A school that plays in 30 degree weather half the season has the same number of fans show up as LSU.
Funny.

You have also averaged 5 to 10 more home games.
Are all LSU fans this naive? Total means almost nothing!!!!!
Arkansas, again, plays in weather LSU never faces yet still puts just as many asses in the seats.
shite, why don't you just schedule 50 home games then you can brag about that total?!?
There is nothing special about LSU attendance when compared to Arkansas. Just more home games. That's all you are really bragging about. You play more home games! Congrats.

We do. Just as many of us as in Baton Rouge.
This whole thread brags about how many home games you play and it's retarded. It's all about averages and relatively speaking, it isn't special.

That doesn't matter when we're talking about average home attendance.

I've been telling you all along that we beat Arkansas every season except one in average home attendance. The higher number of home games LSU plays doesn't really matter when you're talking about average attendance.

The weather argument is legit
March Avg Temps
Baton Rouge: 71
Fayetteville: 59
There's a big difference in early season weather and it definitely has an impact on attendance.
(As evidenced by Arkansas' higher average attendance later in the season)
Whether its 48 or 60 degrees out can mean the difference between freezing your butt off, or putting on a sweatshirt and a windbreaker and enjoying a game.
Both teams have fantastic attendance but if our weather was better, its easy to assume we'd have more home games, and we'd have higher average attendance than we do.
That said, in July we'll be in the mid 80s while y'all are 100 and 90% humidity.

No shite!!!
That's my point!
We typically fall within a few hundred average. Point being, all along, when the freezing weather half the season is factored in there isn't anything special about LSU's support. Arkansas has shite weather where your balls shoot up in your pelvis yet still puts just as many asses in the seats.
Then jackasses offer a "total" rebuttal all the while being totally naive that total means nothing when you play 5 to 10 more home games. Hell, just schedule more home games and you can jerk yourself off even more.

Oh. Well I haven't been doing that.
I don't really care about total attendance. I just care that LSU has been #1 in average attendance something like 19/20 years.

No matter how "close" Arkansas gets to us at the end. I don't give a shite about that.

Fair enough.
My point to that douche whistle that was bragging about total, when you play 10 more home games, is ridiculous.
My "boast" was that we only fall a few hundred behind the national leader every year despite the amazing contrast in temps.

How often is an LSU baseball game cancelled because of sleet or snow?
We probably have that happen once a season at least.

quote:Ok sweetheart we understand its cold...you still have no response to the fact that BR gets Temps in the 90s for part of the season...again, people in fayettville are just as acclimated to the cold as people in BR are to the heat. It doesnt matter anyway, LSU is far and above a more dominant program than AK has ever been or probably ever will be.

Aren't these numbers based on paid attendance? If so, Arky fans don't have to sit in the freezing arse cold Ann Arbor weather. They can just buy a ticket and not go, and that will factor into these stats. Like posters said, LSU is still on top no matter your piss-poor excuses. Take off your homer glasses and give up. And we're talking about this year. Not two frickin years ago when that human waste of space was our coach.
ETA: If you wanna base it on averages, we're still ahead. So good job on your second place trophy.

Seriously, STFU with the temp thing. You're not in Wisconsin.

It's silly to brag about total when you play 5 to 10 more home games. It defies logic. So when you look at averages you see they are within a few hundred of each other. I believe the winter weather being a factor, this says more about Arkansas fan support. That's my point.

It's funny how you only show 4 of our worst season attendances in recent history. And only the years that Arkansas is relevant in attendance numbers. Let's go back a few more years...
2004
#1 LSU - 7,802
#5 Arkansas - 4,784
2003
#1 LSU - 7,449
#22 Arkansas - 2,154
2002
#1 LSU - 7,532
#30 Arkansas - 1,419
2001
#1 LSU - 7,476
#28 Arkansas - 1,700
And it only gets worse from there. Arkansas has become relevant in attendance only in the past five seasons, but before that, y'all sucked and didn't even get 2,000 tickets sold.
