Man, I go to USC (Trojan) baseball games every now and then and they can't average more then 200 people in the stands
How many people live in Los Angeles? Damn no wonder LA does not have a NFL team.

Per an LA native they don't have an NFL team because they don't want to give tax dollars to support a private enterprise business.

Well we have a brand new stadium + a top five ranked team + we bleed purple and gold = 206,598(70,212 more than the second best) in attendance

Tennessee's attendance is dreadful!!!! Damn
Posted on 4/7/09 at 8:54 pm to GeauxTigahs1
im a little suprised that arkansas isn't closer to us. they have the best sec record right now and their stadium holds 14,000.

LSU has the led the nation in total home attandance and average game attendance every year since 1999 (That's how far it goes back), except in 2007, when Arkansas led in average game attendance.

Has it dawned on any of you that Arkansas plays over half their season in 30 to 50 degree weather (tonight they are playing a "warm" game at 55 degrees) yet every single year they either exceed in average attendance or fall a few hundred behind?
In other words, at this point of EVERY year, Arkansas lags behind in total attendance but once the weather becomes tolerable Arkansas has attendance numbers that far surpass LSU.
Carry on.

Far surpass? Can't surpass that far.

But we still lead at the end in June. So you can carry on.

Point being, Arkansas either surpasses or falls within a few hundred in average attendance every year come June, despite playing half the season in snow and freezing temps.
That is far more of an accomplishment and measure of "support" than LSU slightly edging, or falling behind, a team that plays in temps that Baton Rouge would shut down in.
IMHO

WTF are you talking about? You barely beat us one year in attendance in the last 10, maybe ever. And stop talking like you're playing in frickin Siberia, it aint that bad. Carry on

Y'all have only surpassed LSU one time since the 90's. That was 2007, LSU's worst season since the early 80's. So y'all close the gap, but still fall behind LSU in June.

LSU averages 9,390 per game this season, and it's not going to drop any. It will stay the same or possibly get higher with the remaining SEC series at home.
Arkansas has never come close to averaging that many fans. So y'all won't even sniff passing LSU in attendance this season.

And how many games? What's the average attendance?

Just stop. You're embarassing yourself and your fans.

2008
LSU-42 Games-7,590 avg.
Arkansas-31 Games-6,968 avg.
Difference of 622 per game
Shall I go on?
2007
LSU-35 Games- 7,330 avg
Arkansas-31 Games-8,039 avg.
Shall I go on? It will only further my point.
LSU typically plays more home games, in temps 30 degrees warmer half the season, yet still barely exceeds Arkansas in avg. attendance or in rare cases falls behind.
Again, for those who are naive, this says more about Arkansas than LSU.
Lets go on!!!
2006
LSU-36 games- 7,320 avg.
Arkansas - 28 games-7,123 avg.
Difference of 177
Any one else want to get bitch slapped with facts?

Where is a link to this information? Or did you compile these stats yourself?
Why don't we check all the weather reports since most of Arky's games are played in 30 degree weather? You act as if you are playing your games in South Bend. And BR hasn't exactly been 80+ degrees lately. It's been chilly.
Point being, LSU still leads the nation in attendance, and will continue to do so. Just keep making excuses. You sound like LSU fans after we lost the fb game to you this year.

Personaly I consider 622 to be several hundred not a few...but thats of course subjective. If you REEEEAAAAALY want to get into a pissing contest over whose fans are better or who has the better baseball program, we can.
BTW stop harping on the temp. We could just as easily bitch about how hot it is. People in arky are just as acclimated to the cold as people in LA are to the heat. MOVE ALONG
