Think JJ plays and struggles in a few bigger games when LSU tries to open up offense. He attempts to use his feet a little too much (think Randle) and LSU fans eventually start to get on him. (LSU fans flip flop on QB's and dont accept mediocrity)
Lee comes in, plays better than last year and shows a little something and eventually will replace JJ before end of year.
Shepp gets in at QB during blow-outs and see spot duty as LSU runs a variation of wildcat with him and JJ in backfield with KW.

So his first start as a college fb player in the chik fil a bowl as a FRESHMAN (in which he looked better and more experienced than a year older jarret Lee looked all year) wasnt a big game?

To answer your question......compared to what JL faced in AU, Bama, Fla, Uga, Usc.... not a no but a hell no.
