I was there drinking Canadian mist and coffee trying to warm up. I just remember Roy Williams in beast mode.

Saban thought Jack Hunt could handle Roy Williams one on one ........... he’s still running wide open

We all thought Roy Williams would be great in the NFL, but he only had 1 pro bowl season. I blame Matt Millen. And Obama.

No one could stop that Freak Roy Williams.

He only had 4 catches and one rush. It wasn't like Kelley Washington at Tennessee in the regular season 2001 game.

LSU could have had Tom Brady as QB that day and wasn't going to win.

LSU was up in the 3rd quarter, 17-7, and outgained Texas in rushing yards and total yards for the game.

It was a winnable game. I blame the loss on Saban for keeping Mauck in the Florida game too long.

I'm pretty sure he won the MVP of that Bowl game and Saban said he was the best player he saw that season.

SECOND QUARTER I BELIEVE. THE INJURY TO RANDEL SWUNG THE MOMENTUM AND TOOK PRESSURE OFF OF SIMS. IMHO.

2003 COTTON BOWL SCORES BY QUARTER

Someone for Texas had to get it. I'm not saying he didn't have a good game, I'm saying he wasn't unstoppable. Compare his receiving stats to those of Washington the year before at Tennessee:

Williams: 4 catches, 142 yards, 1 TD.
Washington: 11 catches, 256 yards, 1 TD.

There were just some blown coverages in the Cotton Bowl, Washington was unstoppable.

Yep, you're right, LSU up 17-7 in the 2nd.

I was there. I seent it.

> Based on that game, Roy Williams Should have been the greatest WR in NFL history.

> The Cotton Bowl was concrete dog shite.

> Why does the Texas band play “Working on the Railroad”?

> I actively rooted against Chris Sims his entire NFL career

> My friends were talking in a bar with a NOLA sports reporter. My friend had just been hired at the station. The reporter was a condescending dick.
