They have 3 spots open. 2 now with the addition of Pineda.
Tanks is a DH option & is a last resort INF

He’s not coming here to DH. He’ll play 3rd or 1st just like Berry got the chance to play in the field.

Brether, Berry just played a full season in the field, only proving that he’ll never play any meaningful innings as a position player in the majors.
And it did nothing to hurt his value negatively.
It is just clearly not that important for guys that can hit like this, especially with the implementation of the universal DH.
If they move Morgan off of 1B for Tanks, I get it & can see him on the field in that capacity. But after this past year I just don’t see him as a full time 3B. They aren’t going to frick around with that again.

You clearly dont follow baseball recruiting if you think he “called this”.
His post was almost 2 weeks before this happened and was before these players were even scheduled to visit as nap said. He played the law of probabilities.
Guess what, ill call it now, lsu isnt done in the portal, expect another pitcher to come to lsu soon!

Brether, my point is still valid. He played the field every single game and he didn’t even play a bad 3B. He played a horrid OF. Maybe it’s not 3rd, it’s why the 1st base deal makes sense. I’m just saying there’s no way Jay sold him on coming to LSU as a great DH. How did it hurt him? He’s going top 10-12 and it’s always been that way.

That’s totally baseless at this point in time.
NC ST would have promised him he could play SS if that mattered at all.
LSU set up some NIL money & the chance to play in the best conference in the USA. He will get in where he fits in.
