At some point, Mealey shared the rock with Kevin Faulk and Cecil Collins..... Freed Herb Tyler for some wide open looks down the field at Devery Henderson.... a la Blue Grass Miracle, oh wait, that was Jack Hunt....

We had 3 different backs run for > 200 yards in a game that year.
Collins (232) in a loss vs Auburn, Faulk 212 vs Kentucky, and Mealey 222 vs ND

And the Sec imo. That’s why it was so rewarding to get to where Lsu was pretty much dominant in the early 00’s.

I do not know of another game that LSU played an opponent and that opponent had zero penalties and zero turnovers.

That's the game Notre Dame turned in against LSU on Nov 15, 1997.

LSU would beat them a month later in Shreveport by the final of 27-9. That score is a better representation of "what if these teams played" than the score we saw in November 1997. Rondell Mealey went off with 222 yards and 2 TDs.
