I remember that '79 USC game -- but only because I was so into the game, I stopped drinking. I think that was the last time that happened in my college career.
Lost my voice for about a week.
Was that '79 Rice game the one where Carlos Carson caught four passes, all for touchdowns (and then set the record at five with his next catch in the next game)? Or was that game the year before? (LSUsports.net doesn't have the 1970s schedules for some reason....)
And what's with all the Colorado games in the ’70s?

I know LSU beat Rice 77-0 in 77. Not sure if this is the game you are talking about.

You're right -- that was the game. I was there, but in high school.

My first game was mid 70's, but I don't remember who or when it was. I just remembering being there.
