That's easy... because Lee has not looked like shite this season.

So your saying he has looked good based solely off that one pass??
How bout you read who has done better in practice and scrimmage.
No... I didn't say he looked good based on one pass. You said he was shite based on what... 2 years ago? Stop confusing yourself.

I am not convinced of Lee being a starter either, but tonight was a shining example of why Lee should have had at least one set of downs in the 1st half, if nothing else, for JJ to collect himself, because he was having an 'off' game. With Lee in the game, also gives other teams more to practice for during the week. We finally showed a running game tonight, but JJ's passing ability still leaves much to be desired...
I agree.
It just dives me crazy that the coaches promise to open up the play calling with JJ but never let him throw the ball downfield. At some point you have to take a chance.
1. Throw the ball downfield more.
2. Get the ball to Shep and Ford more.
Two simple things that would make this a completely different offense.

How long does Mr. Jefferson need to "collect himself"? He has had more than one year. Must have been fairly scattered to begin with, no?

Good solid win. I don't see how anyone can complain about this team now. They did what they are supposed to do. and dominated an inferior opponent.

Yes.
And i've never been shy about saying that i firmly believe he will never be a good qb.
But JJ isnt riping the world a new one so I dont care when LSU fans want to see him in the game.
I just laugh when people think he is an answer to our prayers at the qb position. Bc that guy doesnt exist.

You're assuming that it's the coaches' fault. How do you know that the plays aren't being called but Jefferson can't get the ball where it needs to be, or is too afraid to throw it?

Sorry, I don't think it has started yet.

I dont know. Just giving my opinion.
But he knows the playbook. And I didnt even see a play that looked like a wr was going to run a route over 15 yards tonight.

If you recall, JJ fumbled twice during the first three series. How can you open up the offense if JJ continues to make mistakes even when the offense is not open. Don't forget JJ threw a interception in the 3rd quarter too. They cannot trust JJ enough to open the offense. Miles plays "not to lose".

Yeah we are just in a tuff spot with the qb situation all the way around.

I had picked the score as 29-10 LSU, so I'm pleasantly surprised by the final score.
Not so pleased at JJ's effort. 8-20? With an INT in the end zone? WTF?
Anyways, I'm proud to be a Tiger, as always!

It is getting harder and harder to watch the offense of this team. We all love LSU but when will the studs be allowed to show their skills? Jeffersons passes were off base most of the night. Why wont Les give Lee a meaningful series ?
Is he afraid of a QB controversy?

The common expectation is that players and teams should improve between game 1 and game 2, even perhaps have "the most" improvement during that interval. Well, I don't think you can accurately say JJ has improved since last week. I think he got worse. Did the rest of the offense improve? Maybe, at least once the "creativity" stopped, but that could have been Vandy wearing down - I don't know.
But whether Lee saw the field tonight or not, I think you'd have to walk away from this win thinking that Lee has to get some significant PT in the next game. Really, how can it get worse? And if you're worried about a QB controversy, I don't think we should be concerned. Competition is good for everyone, and if JJ is that fragile mentally, then Lee is a better choice anyway - at least he has proven to be persistent and thick-skinned.
Lee got one chance last year of any substance - the La Tech game. He was awful. But he was no worse than Jefferson this game and much of last week, so why not give him some significant PT next week?

When was the last IMPRESSIVE win that we had? By impressive, I mean the last time we came out and played smash mouth, hard-nosed football and dominated an opponent.
championship game against ohio state and before that VT
