Firing assistants every couple of years should not be a simple fix for another year as a head coach.

He lost Pelini...Hired 2 D-Coordinators...sucked...and fired them the next year. Hired a new one...and we have the best Defense in the country.

That is solid imo. We (y'all) need to relax and trust in "The Most Interesting Coach in the World". He has it going on.

Agreed, somewhat. He fixed a problem that he created.

However, he is taking a little to long to fix the Crowton problem.

Personally, I think Crowton is a pretty good OC, I just do not think he fits in with anything Miles wants at LSU.

I heard the reason why he did that was to get a recruit. Can't blame him for that.

Really? Can't blame him for screwing up one entire side of the team by not hiring the best man possible to get one recruit? This plus you wanting him to coach here until death makes me know this is a pointless endeavor.

How has Les Miles degraded the program since he has become the head coach?

He has won as many National Championships as Saban and lost his last bowl game...LIKE SABAN!

As a SAVANT...I don't understand why any LSU fan would have a problem with Les.

One recruit? This one recruit cost us 2-3 games in 2008 because of that defense debacle and ruined what was supposed to be our starting QB for the next 3 years. So getting one recruit has basically cost us 2-3 games a year since 2008, and may cost us more this year. How many games has this damn recruit won for us, because this seems like one of the dumbest things Miles has ever done, if true.

Florida won the National Championship in 2006...what was their record in 2007? Did they win or lose their bowl game? How did they do in 2008?

What would you give up to get Patrick Peterson or Andrew Luck?

You have lost me on this and its relevancy to the thread?

Well hindsight is certainly nice to have in this case, because PP could have been a bust. However, even with his performance, I do not think he has won more games for us than we lost in 2008 due to the defense as well as the residual QB problem that it has left in this program.

I don't understand how you could be typing this with only 3 functioning brain cells. Which, by the way, is one more than Miles has.

Relevancy to the thread?

OK...let me make it relevant...Did Florida's fan's call for Myers Job after going 8-5 and losing to Michigan in a bowl game? With the defending Heisman Trophy winner?

LSU fans would have snipped him.

OH...and he won the championship the next year. And almost won it the next year.

I really think its hard to believe you are smart enough to know what is best for LSU football...but not smart enough to follow my posts.

Oranges are better than apples...

The savant wins because you started to name call. I was trying to have a decent discussion.

Go get a Negi-Tiger tattoo on your neck! Actually...go pull for Tulane!

not really

I think anyone with a rational way of thinking would realize comparing UF from 06'-09' to LSU 06'-09' as retarded.

Way too many things happened beside overall records and NCs.
