We’re talking scheduling so there’s a bit of wiggle but it comes down to 4 things really. We finished last in our conf, made no post season, had a poor overall record and had essentially no quality wins. That’s why in scheduling we wouldn’t be of any value to a big team.

I think that is why the "where" is important.

You're right, a big team scheduling (an expected to be weak) LSU as a home game would be of little value because the reward (at best a Q2 win) wouldn't be work the risk (an upset loss). But scheduling LSU as a road game could flip that equation because even if LSU wasn't very good, it's possible they could be good enough (top 75) to qualify as a Q1 ROAD win. The risk, of course, is LSU is more likely to upset you on their court. But as the better team your thinking may be "here is possible top 75 team we feel confident we can beat at their place"

Right, I agree with that and if a Kansas looked at our roster in the off season and determined we’d have value that would be a reason to do it. Problem with us is even when we seem to have a good off season we end up not being valuable. It’s not an absolute thing, I know I said it that way but the reason is from their POV why even bother ya know?
