This is the 13th season of the college football playoff era and we are trending towards missing the field yet again. We have two (2) CFP/NY6 appearances in that span. Other SEC teams to note...
- Auburn (2)
- Texas (3)
- Florida (3)
- Ole Miss (5)
- Oklahoma (6)
- Georgia (9)
- Alabama (10)

Not to be outdone by the fact that programs like Utah, Baylor, Cincinnati, UCF, Oklahoma State. Boise State, TCU, Wisconsin, and Washington have the same or more appearances in a NY6 game than we do.

We have had more head coaches (4) and athletic directors (3) than we do NY6 appearances (2) since the CFP's inception. How in the world we keep finding ourselves out of the hunt in October is pitiful.

Yes, you fired Woodward and Kelly to right the ship. But don't gloss over the disarray we found ourselves in early November last year. No AD, no coach, a governor running a football program and coaching search. And here we are, after spending an entire offseason celebrating how we have finally found ourselves out of football purgatory, back in the same purgatory we know all too well.

They could expand the playoff to 24 teams immediately and we still wouldn’t qualify this season. Sad state of affairs

Being equal to Auburn is a humbling thought
