No one outside of the blind sycophants on this forum thinks that Miles is a better coach than Saban. No one. Since they both coached for LSU, it's pretty clear Saban is the greatest coach in school history. Miles doesnt surpass Saban merely because he happened to linger here longer. Again, Saban won as many championships in five years at lsu as Miles won in twice that time. And Saban's nc was a one loss team, not a two loss squad.

Saban is the best coach to ever don the PG. Only deluded fools with trasparent agendas believe otherwise.

So, without a doubt Saban will be thought of as the greatest LSU coach by people who know football.

bullshite. Only fan boys and football ignorant people would say Saban (at lsu) was a better coach than Miles( at lsu). It's not debatable.

A two loss team that had to be voted up by the media to play in that NC game because it was obvious to anyone around the country that LSU was by far the most talented team that year. There dismantling of VA Tech early that season was a text book on taking apart a team with your overwhelming talent. Still can't believe they lost to inferior teams in Kentucky and Arkansas. lol Especially Arky at home. But another good example of Miles not having his team prepared to play. He should have made them aware of the significance of the moment instead of allowing them to come out flat and play Arkansas and McFadden as if they were sleep walking.

Holy shite. Miles has 7 of lsu's 16 top 15 finishes since 1965.
Miles has 7 of lsu's 15 10 win seasons.

Only football ignorant posters think Miles won't be remembered.
He just gave lsu it's most successful 10 year stretch ever but yeah he is forgettable. I hate our ignorant and entitled fan base

Kind of like the best coach in cfb ( saban ) with the best talent ( 4 of the last 5 classes were #1 ) losing to an inferior team every single year?
Or how about saban losing to UAB while at lsu?

Saban changed the entire culture from the admin to the fanbase to facilities. People can cite wins and losses all day but truth is Saban started LSUs renaissance.

He's most responsible for our current success. Les maintained it as best he could yet then fell through.

LSU was ranked in the top 5 when Les took over. Currently we arent even in the top 25.

That's not the question. The debate is about LSU'S COACH. it's not debatable that Miles has been the better lsu coach. Only idiots disagree.

While at lsu? Yes and it's not debatable. People act like Saban at lsu is the same Saban you see today at Bama and it's not. Saban under achieved every year but 1 while at lsu and by 2004 he had given up on recruiting.

bullshite. Saban walked into a program littered with future nfl players.

Les maintained it as best he could yet then fell through.

As best he could? Holy frick. Yeah it was only the best decade in lsu football ever? It's like you people are living in another universe. Also maintaining a powerhouse is far harder than Building one. That's common knowledge.

Wow. Miles took over a 3 loss program and won the sec west. He did better than Saban.

This program is in far better shape than what Miles got. Miles inherited a program that had lost less that 3 games once in 5 years and he has guided that program through the best 10 year stretch ever. Finishing rankedin the top 15 8 of his 10 seasons and with a real chance to finish top 20 this year. Stop acting like our program is in the fricking dirt

Are you kidding? Yes

He had some of the best players to ever play in purple and gold and lost 4 games in 2000 and 3 games in 2001 ( the same amount of losses that Miles get killed for). It's a shame Miles doesn't coach in a sec west where 3 conf losses wins you the west.

Man you are trippin! You must be mad about the threat of Miles being fired or omething. How many times people are gonna use that Saban lost to this school or whatever loss excuse?? He was in the process of building like he did Bama. And yeah, he had the occasional loss every now and then like to Iowa in that bowl game when they basically had it won. LSU allowed a big play for Iowa to win that game. shite happens! But Saban's teams don't lose games like that routinely or play down to the competition like Miles' teams do. Stop with the madness.

Do you have a single digit IQ? Saban AT LSU won as many championship as Miles AT LSU in HALF the fricking time. And Saban's one loss NC AT LSU was superior to Miles two loss NC AT LSU. Moreover, I'm so tired of desperate Miles acolytes relying on some tortured fiction that Saban at LSU was somehow a totally different coach than the current iteration of Saban. Saban was a better coach than Miles in 2003, he was a better coach in 2008, or 2010, or 1983, or 1999, or today. He's just a better, smarter, more rigorous coach, period.

This is very simple. Saban is and always has been a better coach than Miles. Since both coached at LSU, Saban is the best coach in school history. End of story.

Saban lost to UAB while at lsu. He lost to ULM while at bama.

When he was at lsu they most certainly did. Do you even remember his tenure at lsu?

Come on, man?? Those early circa 2000 teams were nowhere near as talented as the teams after he won the NC in 2003 and afterwards all the way through the Miles' era. You are trippin.

Again. Miles doesn't coach in a sec west where 3 losses win you the west like saban did in 2001. It's laughable that you can't see this.
If Saban was so much better than Miles at lsu why does miles have a higher win % while coaching in a much harder sec west? These are facts.

Except FACTS prove he wasnt as good at lsu has he is at bama. Do I need to explain what a fact is?

I just told you in order to build a top program you will lose the occasional loss to a UAB or whomever. You are blind by your love for Miles into thinking Miles' is a better coach and that just ain't true. And I remember Saban's tenure fine at LSU. He had nowhere near the talent early on in his career there. He was in the process of building a powerhouse. I mean some of you act as if he had that kind of talent since the first day he arrived. If that were the case he would have had 5 NC's before he left. LOL
