Remind us all when USL’s last national championship was???? In any sport….please….when was it?

The subject had to do with shortcomings — I.e., your opinion that LSU’s lines got “owned” by Ole Miss…. I just mentioned my opinion on your shortcomings at USL

West Monroe was like that with Casey Sanders who started there around the same time. I’m a little bit younger than you, but not much. I walked into WMHS as a freshman in ‘92 weighing 155 pounds. A year later, I was 215. And hadn’t grown an inch.

We did 5 basic lifts—squats, deadlifts, cleans, bench, and incline bench. We maxed on those every month or 2, and every workout was written on the board based on the percentage of your max. (3 x 8 @ 75% of your max, for example). Timed. I, and many others, threw up several times. From lifting weights, not running.

JT and Don Shows were both great program builders, maybe the best 2 in Louisiana history. Certainly in the top few. But Tommy Moffett and Casey Sanders were huge parts of their programs’ respective dominance in the 90s. We were just so much stronger than everybody.

When we were getting pushed around we brought in some help for him.
But anytime you change coaches the HC always trusts “his guys” so it’s understandable he made a change
