Hate is an overused, mostly misused, term. I doubt if any messageboard commenter really cares enough to hate or love anything about the Mannings.
Surely you know the dislike for the Mannings comes from them shunning Louisiana.
Even if you disagree, you probably understand that sentiment.

I think the really strong dislike for the Mannings started in 1969, when Archie and Ole Miss derailed LSU ‘s great season.

which is kind of stupid, if Peyton had come to LSU it would have as big of a squander of talent as having no semblance of a defense JD5's last year here, Eli kind of improved each year, I think his last name elevated his "star" rating status, wasn't anything special in college
