I personally think people put to much on star ratings there has been alot of 2 and 3 star turn in to beast and just as many 5 stars turn in to duds. Really if you think about it doesn't matter the rating.it matters what they put in and hope they didnt peak in high school

think the overwhelming consensus was that he was the top WR there

I think KD Cannon may have been the top guy, from what I saw he did well in practice. Iheanacho was getting a lot of love but I can't say I was overly impressed. Markell Pack was just as solid.

And you would be wrong. The teams that consistently have high star ratings are the same ones winning the championships every year. Stars matter, if you want to believe it or not.

All im saying is that 5 star doesn't make them instant all Americans. You still don't know till they hit the field. Alot matters about the system and the ability to get better.

Exactly what does it matter if he's 5 4 3 2 star player hes a great player and he wants to play at LSU so you want them to make him a 5 star for bragging rights

yep. there is a correlation.

don't think you can apply to individuals, but it can damns sure be applied to averages and teams.

All this obsession with "5 stars" the kid is a very good receiver and he seems to be the type that will prove his worth on the field

The only way he gets a fifth star is if he commits to Bama. Then Rivals will be all over it.

Shouldn't a week of practice over weigh the game performance? I'd think you learn more there

They always rate off practice and not the game, I'm pretty sure.

Not saying Quinn gets a 5th star, but they always bump people who look great in practice and generally disregard the game.

He deserves a bump but I don't see a 5* when I see Quinn. Dont get me wrong, I think he'll produce like one but he just doesn't scream 5* when going by the criteria that is used for these rankings, namely the NFL potential. For me, a 5* is the elite of the elite and you know when you see one. The recruiting sites give out too many imo. I'd have maybe 10-12 in this class nationally.
