I think Vanderdoes is honestly the best DT in the nation. If we could get one of Pagano/Vanderdoes to go with Gilmore it would be huge.

LSU facilities are not bad at all. ESPN rank the weight room second in the country to Texas.

LSU was called by Maxim the sexiest college. Not saying Oregon girls are ugly.

And weed really may be a factor. I mean the coach pretty much allows them to do what ever they want. Cliff Harris and Darron Thomas got caught speeding and smoking and they got let off of the weed charge because they had already smoked it all. A push over coach like Kelly can be appealing to some.

I believe He's visited Oregon on his own dime twice. He will be in Beaverton, Oregon at Nike headquarters for "The Opening" where He said He'll take another unofficial to Oregon. It also helps that one of his best friends Arik Armstead committed last year. I wont celebrate until he signs the dotted line though. You never know what can happen.

For those talking about rain. I think it rains more in Baton Rouge than it does Eugene.

It also doesn't rain all year round. We have nice hot dry summers.

Here's a good video interview where he talks about the visits

look at him own this dude at :25 seconds in to this vid

Can someone link Pagano's highlights? I couldn't find any.

About Vanderdoes, I'm surprise he isn't rated a 5-star by 247 sports. Idk, about the other site ranking.

Exactly what I said. We don't have a culture like the west coast here. It's completely different. Everything over there is different, including their political and religious views.

Besides visiting us a couple of times already, we've heard he's taken a serious liking to our staff. Also he's not only very close to Arik Armstead, but to the Armstead family - he was in attendance when Armstead announced.

We like our chances but he's big-time and everybody is going to beg him to come until he signs. Also Oregon is known for being relatively hands off and waiting for kids to decide they *want* to be in Eugene. That makes recruiting blue chip studs a precarious business for sure.

Also the comment about our DL pedigree is valid, but know that we like to think we're getting much better in that department. Chip Kelly brought with him a new DL coach in Jerry Azzinaro - whose main claim to fame in coaching circles is that he was Dwight Freeny's coach at Syracuse. He's had our DL performing better each year, and each year he's had a chance to coach better athletes than the year previous. I think you'll see Oregon's DL make a name for itself this year, both in conference, and should we reach a BCS game, against somebody elite. (Our non-conf schedule is admittedly baby soft this year.)

If Vanderdoes does end up going to college-- if he doesn't go the pro baseball route-- I think his recruitment will be much more intriguing than Pagano.

The kid is an excellent first baseman and pitcher. He struck out sixteen batters in six innings this year, and throws a 92 mph fastball.

If baseball comes into play-- like he said it will-- I give LSU more than a puncher's chance. Their baseball is basically second to none regarding the schools he is considering at the moment.

Except for Stony Brook (sorry, sorry I couldn't help myself )

Oregon doesn't have a lead you sound dumb as shite. You must be from the left coast.

If all of this was really a big deal in recruiting Arkansas, under Nutt would have been a dynasty.

Trust me, I wish they didn't. I hate Oregon.
