How do we stand on Deondrick Glass?
I’d think we are looking to take 3 RB this cycle.
Is he still in the mix?
Not hearing much anymore about him but he’s CB’d 100% to LSU.
His film looks good and I’m sure someone here has better insight on this situation.

If we have Davis and Spivey commits then yes, you still make room for a better RB.
That’s the scenario I meant for taking 3.

What a tough crowd. I’m here often but hadn’t heard much about Glass.
It was just a question because I was curious.
His film looked really good.

We shouldn’t take Spivey. I think this is a waste of a valuable spot. We’re in a better position to land Cain than Texas is, and Emery could still come around I think. We’re also going to have to maybe take Rodney Sopsher which is bullshite but that’s how the recurring game works sometimes.

I meant if emery comes.
And in your scenario why wouldn't u just drop Spivey when the better rb commits.
Numbers are tight no way they take 3 this year unless every and cain come

frick that noise. Waiting on running backs that never wanted to be here is the reason we're so thin at RB right now. If Spivey wants in, take him.

Well Cain definitely gets the spot over Spivey... and how do you honestley know Emery never wanted to be here? You won’t know until NSD. This is one of the most talented classes ever, spots are filling up quick and yes I agree take kids that want in soon, but Spivey is a no go.

How do you know he does? Not taking the sure thing is what got us here. You act like Spivey is a scrub or something man lol. You're star gazing HARD. Watch this kids highlights. Hes extremely talented.

So you’re telling me Spivey is better than Noah Cain?

And do you not care about stars? I certainly do. Look who finishes with the top recruting classes every year. They compete for titles.

You just disregard Spivey like hes a practice squad player. The kid is the real deal. And Spivey could end up better than Noah Cain for sure. Do me a favor, watch both of their highlight tapes and tell me one is a lot better than the other. LSU has had a Thorpe Award winner in Morris Claiborne and a Bednarik award winner in Tyrann Mathieu who were both 3 stars. We're thin at rb and a talented running back wants in, you take him. Simple as that.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush as they say. But just go to Hudl and watch both their highlight tapes and come back here and give your honest opinion. At least do that.

I just watched Spiveys hudl. He looks to be a great talent I will say, and it was the first time I had watched his highlights. It looks like he could be a 4 star guy. But let’s not forget Noah Cain plays at IMG academy where the #1 RB in the nation currently plays plus they had a very talented back there last year who competed for carries. Can 3 Stars turn out to be studs? Absolutely, but we can’t act like all of them are going to be Mo Claibornes, or Honey Badgers. We shouldn’t just take every 3 star that wants in, it’s still LSU football, and not Arkansas. I’m saying all this because I 100% think if Emery never comes back Cain will be on board. I also have some bias because I played football with him when I was really little, and it would be cool to watch him play for LSU. If Cain and Emery didn’t end up here I would take Spivey, but I’m saying I think we should take Emery or Cain over him at the end of the day.

I agree that I'd rather have Emery over Spivey. Noah, idk, there's just no way to know right now. But if Spivey wants in with how bad our rb situation is you just gotta accept that commitment. We can't pull a Travis Etienne and Mario Goodrich AGAIN.

Agree 100 percent with everything you posted here. It clear you actually did your research before posting.

TheTXTiger, like way too many others, you feel the need to voice your opinion before you have given it full consideration. Kudos for admitting you were posting out of turn, and hadnt even watched Spiveys highlights yet.

Ill say it again, Ill ban myself if Cain has a better career than Spivey, in both college and the NFL. Spivey, off highlights alone, is clearly the better back, and it isnt close.

I dont know why everyone is acting like Noah Cain is a second coming of Leonard Fournette he is not,

when the first rankings for the 2019 class came out Noah Cain was the 1st ranked RB by everyone and that Trey Sanders kid wasnt even a 5* ask you why he fell so much he isnt even in the top 100 in the composite and 247 has him at 245, if Emery goes out of state Davis will be our star RB and why not give a shot to Spivey he is very good.

Agreed for the most part. Stars besides names don't tell the whole story.

Cain and Emery are better athletes with higher upside but Spivey ain't chopped liver. In a 3 rb class he would do fine. If Cain and Emery both want in (very unlikely but just in case) then they will have to be the a ...e and drop Spivey. That is the unfortunate part of recruiting. It is what it is.

If the coaches are creative and willing to make hard choices, they can fit 3 RBs, cover other needs AND accept Sophser and his brother if necessary. They are paid 7 figures to figure it out.
