they are being TOLD to say this stuff so LSU won't sign a full class.

If this comes to fruition, then great.
What we have to remember is that Aranda has only been here for one season. Most all of the top LB recruits were being recruited for LSU by Kevin Steele [Auburn] or what we believe to as being ignored prior thereto. We are going up against teams that have been recruiting these HS Seniors for three and four years. Also, seeing is believing; kids are going to have to see what's on the field to start to buy in to what is being done in a program. Hence, we are asking those young men to completely change their allegiance from programs dedicated to them for many years to what they've seen the past two to three months [if they were even watching . . .].
How many times have you read a recruit say "I chose School X, because they've been after me continually from the start"?
Its going to take some time. If we can't flip, then go get raw talent and teach it up or convert existing players to fit the role from other positions [aka Ducre].

Agreed. So using that logic if they don't believe after the bowl game and what Aranda's D accomplished this year they never will. I mean the proof has been there an entier season right before everyone's eyes. Basically they should know his D is excellent.
It is the personal relationship aspect with other programs and coaches that is the road block. Emotion vs Logic. Aranda needs some help from O and another defensive recruiter. Perhaps Johnson is being groomed for that role?
