I guess that closes the door on Etienne.

Damn the last two guys to pick should be the ones to have their ear in Akers' circles. Very interesting.

Not really. Let's say we do get Ackers and with Edwards-Helaire. We could still bring in Etienne. Next year we would have Guice(Jr), Ackers(TF), Williams(Sr). 18' it would be Ackers(Soph), Edwards-Helaire(RSF) and Etienne(RSF).

Nick seems like a good kid, but he's not the talent of a Guice or Cam Akers.

He's going to be a role player for us I believe.

It was casted by Andrew Ellis a recruiting analyst for 'Eleven Warriors'... w.e that means.

Ellis is on another message board I am a part of (Not ohio state related) and he essentially gets his information mostly from a group of guys in a thread we all have on 2017 sec recruiting. He also does have some inside information but I think most of it is all second hand stuff. He only puts in crystal balls if he becomes relatively certain of something. I just messaged him to see what the deal was.

It's really starting to feel like we're landing Akers, which would be YUGGGE and just what this recruiting cycle needs... A huge boast and may get things going again bc recruits see a big name star commit to LSU and think, hmm everything must be ok down there, maybe it's safe for me to go ahead and pull the trigger instead of waiting around. Has he set a timeline for when he's supposed to commit to a school??

Alright so this is what he told me. Im paraphrasing. He thought Ohio State was going to lose Dobbins to Texas initially and they would end up with Akers. He no longer believes that to be the case and it would for the most part close the door on Akers. Secondly, he said he has talked to many people, all of which believe akers is leaving the state which closes the door on Ole Miss. He also said that he thinks UT and Georgia are hats on the table and are not legit landing spots. That leaves FSU and LSU. FSU has a worse depth chart than LSU running back wise next year and only have Clyde (different kind of back) committed right now with no other major players.

Saying all of that he basicall said it came down mostly to rationale and an educated guess right now but nothing more than that. Ill keep an eye on it.

Is this the part where I say idc if you believe me and I have sources blah blah blah and then everyone takes shots at me?

Ole Miss is much more of a player than what most people think. Unless they are terrified to make a move ($$) then I don't see him leaving the state. That's just my opinion tho.

NO... Because you're not coming across as an arrogant know-it-all arse or making unrealistic irrefutable claims. You're coming across believable because it sounds like info just being passed between "friends" here.

THANK YOU for that.

ETA: MOST all of us understand recruiting is fluid, ESPECIALLY in LSU's current coaching staff status. In many cases we're talking about super-charged emotional 18-yo's involved in a high stakes ($$$$), highly public arena. So "stuff" happens. It's the posters here who flat out claim they 100% KNOW what's going to happen that deserve every bit of the shite storm that gets blown their way. Your post has not come across that way in the least.

Clinton has a big game tonight vs starkville. Could end up 2nd or 4th seed in their district based on how the night unfolds.
Would be great if any tiger fans in the jxn area could show up in support.

Side note...lot of lsu fans been showing up for St. Stanislaus' games. It's noticed by the players...no doubt.

The NCAA won't be wrapping up their investigation until March at the earliest. Akers isn't going to a school under NCAA investigation.
