I still don't believe he's that good, just didn't say anything b/c I don't believe in bashing current recruits.

All we're saying is that there's better LBs out there...anyone denying that?

i agree LE, he has a nose to the ball but the talent gap is even more enourmous for him and he isnt a physical speciman like a chad jones who's athleticism accounted for the lack of experience. it would be a while but he could be a very solid LB or never see the field

What could he have found out that he didnt already know? I think someone is telling this kid lies and i know where that points to.

that should say something. Miami and Florida have def no offered, and its questionable if he really holds an FSU offer.

LE has a bad habit of speaking in absolutes when he's giving his opinion. The other day he said "JUCOs suck" only to later admit there is a time and place to sign a JUCO.

It's just the way his brain works.

that doesnt mean he has no talent. He is a very talented HS player. But i dont think he is LSU material. Ive watched his videos, and he looks slow and has some pudge to him.

Playing for LSU and playing for Ole Miss or South Florida is a huge difference. Thats what I meant by that. Pretty easy to understand.

and i surely didnt comment on his intellect to call him a dumbass.

I also think Willie Ferrell would be a problem if he ever sees signifigant playing time in the SEC. At least give me Chris Williams.

Everything I said was accurate.

You speak in absolutes when you give your opinion...often only to recant when people call you out on it.

As for Byrd, I think he's our best WR but I certainly can understand that some may think Lafell may be better. You, on the other hand, think it's clear as day (again with the absolutes). You tell me who's out of line on that one.

FYI, I happen to agree with you on Ferrell that he's one of our least talented recruits thus far.

I dont recant on anything ive said in this thread.

as for the JUCO thread, i shouldnt have to explain myself when I said I hate JUCOS...like I wouldnt take a Claude Wroten or DByrd in a second. Most of hte time they arent worth their mettle

its absolutely clear as day. Lafell almost has double the catches that Byrd has. How is that not clear who has established themselves as our #1 WR?

I think Byrd's injury and our QB issue have affected his #s more than Lafell. I think Byrd is our best receiver and I think his draft position will support my opinion. But, like I said, I don't think it's crazy to think that Lafell is the better WR. Nevertheless, whether Byrd is our best or 2nd best, the point I was making still stands. Sometimes it makes sense to take a JUCO. Byrd is a perfect example of that. Unfortunatly, you are so insistent on arguing, that you got caught up focusing on a minor detail that had no bearing on the overall point.

Back to Ferrell, you said some pretty over the top things about him (you were quoted above). The more reasonable point of view would be to say that Ferrell, if he decommits, probably won't hurt this class since LSU will likely replace him with a more talented player. That pretty well encompasses my opinion on the situation.

I think its safe to say, that based on his own comments per Rivals, that if he isn't decommited officially at this point, then he is definitely wavering.

Its comes down to the same thing. He's replaceable. If he doesn't want to come to LSU, then don't come. We dont need some marginal player jerking us around when there are bigger fish to fry.
