1. Many of these kids don't have the same feelings about LSU as the fans do. They likely didn't grow up as huge LSU fans, so there really isn't much "hate" for a rival school. Nor is there much of an "attachment" to LSU. 2. Most see college as simply the NFL's "minor league." They don't care about the traditions or history of a college program, they just want to go to the place that will get them to "the league". In that respect..... 3. Love him or hate him, Nick Saban has a good track record of putting players in the NFL. He just happens to be at Alabama, so that's where recruits want to go. If he were to pick up today and leave for Rutgers, you would see top talent leave their home states to go to Rutgers. While you might find the idea of a Louisiana kid going to Alabama, Auburn, USC, etc. repulsive, the fact of the matter is that you aren't the person with the special ability to play football at the college or pro level. These kids are looking out for themselves and are going to go to the place they think will get them to the NFL. Some think that place is LSU, some don't.

Well said.

Nobody wants to acknowledge the obvious reasons, especially #2, #3 and #4.
