A&M has plucked way more than its fair share of LA talent the last couple of years.
2010 will be no different.
Mike Davis was in College Station today, and he saw A&M put up 500 yards of offense, AGAIN.
He was in College Station with a group of Skyline buddies, a couple of which are committed to A&M. Word is the official visit went fantastic, and he and Fobbs hit it off well.
Miles has already made it known that he wasnt to take any further visits, and Davis took an official anyway. Why on earth would he risk his LSU scholly if he had no real intent of switching to A&M?
The answer is simple, but i dont expect you understand.
A&M is one of (the?) the youngest teams in the county, and Sherman has the offense clicking pretty well. The 2010 and 2011 seasons will be extremely fun to be a part of. High school kids obviously feel the same way. If you dont believe me, take a look at Rivals team rankings.

Wait until Monday (or whenever the rivals folks get ahold of him).
It wont be a secret.

You need to go back to your boards and worry about locking up your own state before you come over here.

We've had easy pickings in LA recently.
This year also.
And Miles is MUCH easier to recruit against than Mack and Stoops.
We'll go ahead and keep raiding LA as much as we need.

Woahhh.... Don't get ahead of yourself. No one is raiding Louisiana. LSU will continue to handpick Louisiana, but I think they've gotten to the point where they're in the battle for some national recruits and a few more of the local kids have fallen through the cracks.
This is good for LSU if they can get the national kids, but bad if they strike out and are left trying to persuade a kid they didn't show much love early on. Sometimes they'll get the kid anyway, but sometimes they won't. This gives A&M an opportunity to get in on some kids early and hang onto them. That's what you're seeing here.. not "easy pickings" or "raiding" by any means.
If A&M starts producing on the field and competing for titles, then maybe they can take it up a notch and compete for some of the top players regardless of LSU's position, but until then, it's just not going to happen.

Man we can't argue that point! Let me ask Shep and Loston. Oh wait! Are they from Texas? Oh I remember, A&M didn't want them. A lot of schools end up with players who LSU didn't have room to take. We can't take every good player in our state when we are taking the best in yours.
