so Nuss should have played in January 2022 knowing he was never going to see the field in the fall of 2022? was daniels even a thought here yet? BK had been here all of what, 3 weeks?
No. The post I was referring to said LSU would be screwed today if Nuss had played in that game, and thus would now be exhausting his eligibility.
I’m just pointing out that is incorrect. If he had played in that game, he would’ve redshirted the following year and would be in the same situation.

He said he is definitely playing in the bowl game. This should say it all.

The track record of good QBs taking big leaps to great QBs from year 1 to year 2 as a starter kind of speaks for itself. Mettenberger, Burrow, and Daniels. All were good QB year one but showed flashes of greatness. All made huge leaps year 2 to great QBs.
Imo what Nuss was lacking was just some of the toughness that the others had. He was hesitant to stick in there knowing he would take a hit. Honestly taking the shot from Okla, gathering himself for a bit, and going back out there and succeeding was possibly the best thing that could have happened for his development as a player.

My only concern is will we lose on top WR/TEs in the portal because they do not know who the QB is yet.

I agree. I joked and said that was his Burrow against UCF moment. One can only hope that is true.

While you might want to know them, the reality is it doesn't matter if you, I, any other fan is kept in the loop.
It also may persuade me to donate more if I know he is leaving and we need to get another QB in the portal.
