The narrative is so tired when LSU has opened the checkbook may times regarding coaches and facilities (see: upcoming basketball arena), and we are one of the top athletic programs in terms of revenue each year. The state itself gets in peoples minds but LSU is a separate entity. LSU is this state’s golden goose for a reason.

Okay. Then why's there so much doom and gloom on here? LSU is still top 5-10. They regularly tear through the transfer portal and end up with top 10 recruiting classes which is enough to win you championships. Which they have. in multiple sports due to transfers the past few years.

LSU just stole a recruit from the university this board thinks can buy all of college football. It doesn't work like that as you can see. A top 10 class is often an outlier for LSU they're usually top 5 which is pretty much on par with pre NIL. We are extremely competitive otherwise we wouldn't be winning championships in every sport. Football is harder. Give it time.

They’re certainly poor compared to Oregon and Texas and maybe even Miami but so is everyone else. LSU might be slightly behind teams like that but they’re firmly in the mix with most of the other big dogs

Don’t tell them but if Miami would just concentrate their NIL efforts on keeping South Florida kids, they would be a juggernaut. If they signed 90% of the top South Florida kids they wouldn’t have to spend silly NIL funds on Michigan State transfers who the NFL ranks a late round or UNDFA DT.

If you check the On3 team rankings for 2025 football recruiting updated last night, LSU ranks third nationally even with 5-7 less recruits than most everyone else. To your point, of ALL schools LSU ranks first in average NIL per recruit at $211,000, at least 10,000 more than the second place school, Ohio State. Even better LSU has the top average ranking per recruit. So in football at least I’d say LSU is willing and able to spend the money, but they’re probably just more selective.

Good stay up there and take your little sac to Bucknuts or whatever it’s called, and while you’re there run by LaBrags old hood & spray paint something ugly on his muhdears mailbox.
