Louisiana can support 3-4 D1 programs. Tech and Tulane have enough big money donors to stay. Tech is finally spending money now on coaches and facilities and Tulane needs a stadium and some fans. ULL has potential.

ULL has nice facilities, nice indoor practice stadium, and good donors. They continue to recruit overated kids from STM every year which is annoying. They need a new coach as Bustle just is not getting it done. They wont ever be a power house but 7-5 or 8-4 should be a goal of theirs every year.

Ahem.....
If we can get over this BS 1st rd playoff hump, McNeese has ALWAYS been successful. 13 SLC Championships....more than all the schools in the conference combined since the conference was established.
2 National runner up's - '97 and '02
Beaucoup playoff appearances. Add to the fact that the grounds have been broken for this.....not bad for a I-AA school....

Because teams like Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Texas A&M come in and take the 3 star-type guys we don't want.
The second tier of Louisiana talent still goes to BCS programs, not to Tech, McNeese, or any schools like that (with a few exceptions here and there).
