Who's the non-qualifier or greyshirt?

Randall's LOI puts us at 24 new scholarships. We are limited to 23 by the self-imposed sanctions, so who is not going to qualify or will be greyshirted?

Jeremy Hill more than likely, if he does make it to campus.

By the time we will have to get down to our set numbers, the Hill situation will probably be more clear. If he gets grey-shirted, sent to a Juco, or just released from his scholly completely it will give us the space we need.
If I had to pick someone else to be grey-shirted, probably Quentin Thomas

Hill would put us at 25. The 23 LOIs plus Fordham put us at 24

Wouldn't Hilliard and Johnson be counted back as early enrollees?

I'm pretty sure we took the maximum amount last year, so none could be back counted

According to lsusports.net we were at 22 prior to Randall. Not sure where you are getting your #s from.

No. 25 enrolled in august. If not, fordham, wouldn't have greyshirted

Cause fordham needs to be counted in this class.

Fordham from last year was pushed to this year. Him and Randall make 24

I think Rivers will greyshirt. You are right. Hill is in limbo with the charges, may come in January if cleared. We are at 24 with Fordham having to count, so unless someone counts back, someone will grey!

But, he "signed" his LOI last season. He enrolled, just did not accept a scholarship at that time.
The restriction is 23 NEW LOIs and 83 overall
Thus, tho a little bit of a "loophole", Randall makes #23 "new" LOIs and Fordham is in the 83

We actually had 24 last year after Lee went to the Dodgers and Porter signed with UK. We appealed to the NCAA to let Fordham have the scholarship in the fall but I don't believe it was accepted.
Pilot is on the right track I believe.

I hope you're right, but here is the quote from the article

a reduction of initial scholarship recipients

You gonna trust a news article over an anonymous poster on tigerdroppings?
You some kinda commie bastard, or something?
BTW, I really am pretty certain that I am correct. Someone COULD be asked to greyshirt. But, it would be to help with the needed attrition to get to 83....not the 23
