Agree w all the others, but I also think LaCoutore could contribute real soon. He's already enrolled and at a position of need

I think if they do move Karl Jr to C he could really be an all-SEC player for us for a number of years.

We could have gotten Nacho, last year, too....

Patterson's junior film is awesome, but Neal is something to watch going forward, and different than our usual DE. The thing is that he has the arms/speed of a DE, with leverage/strength of a DT. Tough combo to throw at OT's, because he can get under and around bigger guys, and overpower smaller ones. May be a third down guy, who knows, but I see why people kind of push him back down the excitement hill, but he could be special...the anticipation in to how they develop is the fun part, as well....
People will cringe at this comparison, but Neal is a bit like Rahim Alem. Alem was good at getting the QB, but that's about it. We should have just used Alem as a 3rd down/obvious pass down guy...which is what Neal should be. A sack or QB hurry is a HUGE plus to have.

I think Louisville, just guessing, though.

You would be correct

Alem overpursued, and you could just run at him, all day. Patterson, is very smart in his approach. Plays alot like Sam, in that he lets things develop, and then attacks. He fits Chavis' style, right now, better than anyone we recruited at DE. He'll be good as an everydown guy in a few years, with Moffit. Neal, is tougher to predict, but I can see him as more of a situational 3rd down guy like you say, but nothing I've seen can I draw to Alem at this point, he's just so different( in a good way).

That's my point, he was a 3rd down/pass rush only guy (unfortunately we used him every down). I see Neal being the same, not saying the two are equals in everything though.

Also Riley, don't know how he is a 3 star. Kid looks athletic enough to play safety. I guess they don't think his ceiling is high.
