Looking at On3’s rankings, UGA and Clemson seem to be doing very well. Looks like our name comes up for Trajen Odom (#11) and Ethan Utley (#15). Do we have a chance to crack any in the top ten. Bo Davis has his work cutout for him that’s for sure

Seems like a weak year for Dline recruits for Louisiana. He’s def got his extra work cut out for him

I think he can get some big guys out of Texas.

It is at this point, but don’t forget that at this time last year, McKinley and Reliford were ranked low.

Their Jr. season film was reviewed more over the spring and summer and after combining that with a few camps/ showcases, they became “must get” DL for us. At least one good DL will emerge from LA.

Shea on On3 think we sign two spring portal DTs.

Any ideas on who we get? I’ve read speculation of Patrick Jenkins from Tulane

I know we've got feelers out, and have been told that 1 starting caliber DT is in the boat, but no names were named.

The other Juco DT, Jaleel Muhammad I think, has to get his grades in order but is a take.

Beyond that, who knows ? Hopefully there are a disgruntled DT or two from outside the SEC who would jump at the opportunity to get noticed or increase their draft stock.

I thought you were talking about from the spring portal.

It can be hard to know who the top Dlineman end up being this early.

The Dline, and especially DT, where the quality of a player is so intrinsically tied to their height and weight can be hard to forecast as underclassmen.

Especially in Louisiana, there will be a couple guys that shoot up the rankings as their growth spurts take off that we have probably barely even heard of yet.

I certainly hope Bo Davis is a better evaluator than Charles Power gives him credit for. Very few, if any, of our top DL targets got much love from our On3 friends today. Not a boom year for DTs nationally but I expected better marks for a couple of the Texas kids. Even the LA DL/edge kids are curiously ranked, though I never expected 4* for any of them. Curious how 247 and Rivals rank them in comparison.
