Yeah, Jai committed to Michigan early and switched on NSD. Cox waited to see where Jai was going then went to Oklahoma State. I always wanted Jai more than Cox. He just seemed like trouble.
Sam Montgomery was considering us, but most didn't think we would get him. It was a surprise, but not a shocker.
I was shocked we got Bower.
Davis and Janzen were the big leaving shockers.
And Charles Deas is the guy in the purple pimp suit. He went to Pearl River Community College. I think you are thinking of Jerrell Powe who committed at the AA game, then committed to Ole Miss, then his mom sued Ole Miss when he didn't qualify, then he played there for two years or so.

Wasn't Ryan Perriloux a last minute switch from Texas?

Tashawn Bower for most recent. easily.

Yes. He committed to Texas early on and said he didn't want to play for Nick Saban. Saban left in December and Miles worked super hard on RP. RP flipped to LSU mid January.
This is why I hate the "Saban's Players" comments. LSU would have never had Perriloux who was the SEC Championship game MVP our NC year if not for Miles.

And Perriloux getting booted the following season had lingering effects. Really wish he'd kept his head straight. I had so much excitement for that 2008 season and just like that....it was gone
