Gotta understand that sometimes getting the better player doesn't mean you're getting the better team.
I don't want Williams because it's a bad precedent for BK to set. We plead for Brennan to come back then sell him down the river when we get a better deal, not good.

Fb is a big business so when you get a deal to increase your chances in the CFP you'd go for it. It might be bad for Brennan but that's the way it is to get the best players to get your program on top.

First of all, you don't even consider this unless Caleb Williams is a 100% lock, which he is not.
The mere possibility of Williams is not worth it, because Brennan would be gone if we seriously entertained this. We'd be in a worse position overall if he ended up going to USC and Brennan left.
