Honestly, if the SWAC schools were better funded and were nationally shown you would see a lot if kids go that route. There's still a lot if resentment from the Segregation era and it gets passed down. If you think about it it wasn't all that long ago and a lot of those people who lived through that era are still around

Jamal was honest with Florida the whole time that he was real uncomfortable with the coaching situation at Florida and Joker relayed that to them. They kept trying to sway him to Florida. Also Joker never was going to be at Florida long because he had offensive coordinator aspirations and was passed over at Florida. Good thing for Jamal because Joker ended up resigning for recruiting violations.

Just popping in to remind those who want to neg spin:

LSU had a fantastic signing class last year and got Louisiana's and the nation's best player.

LSU puts more players in the NFL than any other program and develops more freshman as starters. Fact.

Jamal was a poster who popped up on here last year. He was pro LSU and some suspected he was a high school player, not a FBS caliber one though. Haven't seen him post for a while. He was widely beloved for his enthusiasm.

Few comments:
- Thanks to the OP. Yes, much of what was said was said previously. But everything gets said on the Rant and most of us don't have the discernment to know what's coming from informed sources or someone just flailing around.

- I don't ever recall that much talent leaving LA in a single season and all the more when LSU is having good seasons. So I'm concerned. And as the anonymous coaches on the Rant noted it will costs us. Not immediately - the staff's comeback on NSD was nothing less than remarkable.

- Out ticket in the long run is in-state recruiting. When I see CamRob's on-going state pride over the Nike scores it tells me that the kids in LA still have a great pride in LA. But somehow, that pride is no longer synonymous with playing for LSU. Les needs to regain that.

- IMO, I would love to have seen Tony, Noil, and Willis in P&G.

Honestly, I consider Kenny Young a bigger loss than Brown or Willis. Noil would have been nice, but there is a track record of players who act like he did and it isn't good.
