Neville may have one it's share of championships, but the one thing you cannot deny is that as soon as West Monroe found a way to win that Neville ran away to 4A as soon as it could.
(I'd like to add that I have only been to one West Monroe game since I graduated from there twenty years ago. However, nothing is more fun to me that giving Neville fans grief that they are no longer THE football power of NELA. Now I love the young Nevillites who like to act like they remember when Neville used to be good.)

i dont recall neville ever stopped being good. alot of your fans have amnesia and thinks rebel high was established in the eary 90's and as far as running and hiding the overall record is 38-11 and last 20 yrs(shows era) its tied 6-6.

Neville is still a good team. Everyone knew they were gonna be good this year with them having the most talented senior class they have had in a while. But I dont see them competing for state championships year in and year out like West Monroe. Next year will be a rebuilding year with the loss of almost all their starters. I see them getting second in district behind Bastrop.

I know West Monroe won in 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000 and 2009 (six of the the championship years, Neville had already run away to 4A in 2005). That is six wins right there. I somehow think that West Monroe won a few more times in those years.

didnt play 2005,,will they beat wm next yr? probably not...but they wont come in 2nd to bastrop...rams glory days are almost over...they were young last yr...but i believe they will never be able to repeat the last few years

How many starters does Neville return next year? I can only remember Diarse and maybe a D-linemen. Bastrop has alot of talent, if it produces is the question. I dont see them dominating 4A again like they did a few years ago, but I still expect them to contend. Ruston should also be pretty good next year.

they have a couple second string runnning backs..caesar is one..they have a good d-line guy forgot his name. they have a couple returners they will be ok. youre right bastrop has good young talent and ruston is ruston...heard that laird might be leaving soon.

Ruston will have a larger OL than usual and the secondary returns alot of talent

2nd game like last year I believe. As far as the fans of both programs the best comparison is:
Neville = Alabama fans
West Monroe = Florida fans
WM, 0 success before the 90's. Neville a steady power with TONS of tradition. Won a title 14 years ago, but just returned to glory this past year.

cant you do better than bama....we hate bama...dont know if you are old enough to remember bubby brister...bear bryant himself came to monroe for the "official signing". i think monroe declared bear bryant day
