It will end as a class in the top 8. I don't think anyone was expecting a top 5 class with the in-state talent this year.

Yeah, I agree.

8 or higher even. I could see 6th. But really you're just crossing t's and dotting i's at that point. There's not much difference at that point.

ETA: We're still 6th right now... even with the losses of those guys and we're gonna add a couple more guys.

Listen you guys need to chill the frick out!We lost Mike Davis, Justin Parker, and Cassius Marsh. Those three were considered jewels for this class. Now Lache Seastrunk is not coming here. Fine! If it makes you guys feel better then I will say I need good news fast. Overall, if we finish with what we already have on board, I will be dissapointed.

You are the one weeping over a guy who all signs pointed to not picking LSU for months now.

Well we've lost 4 very good prospects and we're still ranked in the top 7 in classes

They haven't updated the loss of Marsh, that will drop us out of the top 10

Nope...both Rivals and Scout have removed Marsh from our list, and we're still solidly in the top 10. I'm sure we'll pick up a few more good recruits and meet our SEC mandated quota of 28, but we might still move down in the final rankings, depending on what those immediately behind us do. A few teams from 8-15 still don't have that many commitments and if they fill out their classes between now and Wednesday, they might pass us. Still, given the fact that this was not considered to be a stellar year in Louisiana, we should end up with a pretty good class. Next year could be huge.

Anyone that spends any time reading the recruiting board should not be surprised he chose Oregon

Gore should be pretty good. Not to mention Ware, I expect great things from him.

Just noticed on ESPN Recruiting Insider that Marsh was listed as a 3* not 4*

Why do people think that this class is in bad shape?! So what we didn't get Lache or Reed. Having them WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE, but people we need to pick up personel for depth at positions that don't have any. Besides at this late in the game, did we really need Lache? NO. We have a good group of kids that are not getting any appreciation. WE ARE STILL IN THE TOP TEN FOR RECRUITING! The sky is not falling.

I will be glad when the name Lache is not mentioned here. It is time to move on the 3 year love affair is over. I wish him luck on his future. Honestly people his numbers this year were average at best. But with his speed he will eventually make Oregon very happy. Ware is a very pleasant surprise and with Gore and Blue and the commits at running back for next year his position appears to be solid and other needs are more pressing at this time. The class this year is solid with a few needs still to be met. Particularly wide receiver and Defensive tackle. The coaches will now be able to focus more on our needs and things will be fine.
