We aren't missing a thing with Haynes King

Kid is as overrated as any quarterback I've seen in years.
He has missed open receivers all night long, and again, has single handedly kept his team from blowing this game wide open.
Playing West Monroe in Shreveport. Keytaon Thompson was a better player than this kid.
If he ever sees the field at Texas A&M then he will have overcome a few short comings in his talent throwing the ball

I’m really enjoying the fact that I said this in the spring when people wanted us to sell the farm to get him. Kid is a major project with bad habits that are tough to fix.

I follow recruiting closely also and seen a lot of high school quarterbacks over the years.
Longview may win a state championship in Texas but it will be because of their defense, their offense is hindered because he can't pass past 10 yards with any accuracy whatsoever.

I just can’t get past his throwing motion. Guys that wind up like that just don’t make it at the next level unless they’re absolute freaks like Tebow. Very rarely does coaching fix it, it’s usually a guy putting extra momentum on the ball to compensate for a lack of arm strength. His dad hired a private QB coach for him and his delivery hasn’t changed one bit, that tells me all I need to know.

Tebow’s passing was never why he was a freak.

Well, quality high school teams like Lufkin and West Monroe have seen his flaws and exposed them.
Longview has dominated this game. I mean dominated except the scoreboard. And why? Because of Haynes King. As simply put. His offensive line is very good as is his running game. Has a stacked team and they can't be elite because of him. Weird.

That’s exactly what I meant. Tebow could get you 6 yards just falling forward if he couldn’t side arm it to someone. If king tries that he’s going to get broken in half.

Yeah but isn’t King punting the shite out of the ball?

Yes he is an excellent punter.
I am SO HAPPY we dis not commit to this kid. Holy Moly. I have a suspicion Jimbo will think twice before taking his pledge after the season is over. He isn't an amazing runner and he has serious issues throwing the ball downfield. I'm not talking just a little bit, but a whole lotta bit.
His dad has to know his team isn't reaching its full potential because of his inability to get a big play in the passing game. I believe they had 2 or 3 drives of 10+ plays that came away with 3 points.

King finished 8-of-18 passing for 75 yards. No Tds and his team is 4-0. Their Rb had 191 yds and 2 tds. Needless to say, King is not as good as advertised

Similar stats to his game against John Tyler the week before on ESPN, where they couldn’t stop telling everyone he is the number one QB in the country.

He plays decent qb for a major powerhouse program in Texas. Sorta like that kid that plays qb for Tulane.

Frankly I’m shocked what Fisher has done with Mond. I thought he stunk like hot garbage playing QB at IMG. Fisher can work wonders with QBs.

Everything is true except the no TDs comment. He threw a fade to the corner of the end zone for their first score.
