Did Valentine play last year? How good was he? I'm not sure why this board goes crazy over a guy who's never took a snap as an LSU tiger to know how good he'll be...

The same thing could be said about Dylan Moses or Myles Brennan and I'm sure at one point people were blowing LF7 before he was a Tiger, but seeing as we'Re talking about him here under the "recruiting" forum and not the rant I think it's the appropriate place. The idea that he could come in never having taken a snap and replace Godchaux at NT is crazy, but the fact that it is possible and it would allow us to put both LaCouture and Godchaux at DE is pretty freaking exciting. And that what's I think you're seeing here- people getting excited about a possibilty.

He played JUCO in Arizona and was kicked off the team and went to Mississippi Gulf Coast. 6 games at Arizona 11 tackles and 2 sacks. Not eye popping stats at a JUCO. Not sure what he did at Mississippi.

Yeah, no shite! I think Danille Hunter only had 4 in 13 games at DE the year before he went to the league!

Danielle Hunter had 1.5 sacks his last year at LSU and 4.5 total sacks in his 3 years at LSU.

LSU would not still be in touch with him and open to him rejoining the team if they did not see the potential. Its been discussed here how when he was allowed to practice with the team reports were that he was almost unblockable. We just all have to wait and see and let it play out.
