I can't say anything about how he compares to Jefferson

he does seem to go through his progressions and look at different receivers.
I think you just did a comparison

Meyer's class finished No. 2 last year, falling short of USC again. Although at the time of the final ranking, offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson was still listed as a Trojan commitment. Henderson ended up signing with USC but got out of his letter due to NCAA sanctions on the USC program and is now at Miami.
Henderson, Mr. Badluck?

When rumor turned into reality Wednesday, the future became the focus. Of the 17 current commitments, expect many to explore other options but a few stand out as potential decommitments.

Just to update how huge this has become for LSU alone:
- Jeoffrey Pagan (#10 DE on Scout), who de-committed from Florida last week (McCarney leaving caused this, but Meyer leaving shut the door) will be visiting LSU this month or next.
- His teammate, Stephone Anthony (#4 OLB on Scout), once considered a huge Florida lean, will likely take the visit with him
- Ryan Shazier (#8 OLB on Scout) is having an in-home with LSU tonight, visiting this weekend (is good friends with Patrick Peterson from what I've heard, who will likely be the host). He is also looking at another in-home visit from us either next week or the week after. I would haev to assume Gonzales is taking care of the in-home tonight if Shazier is also looking at anonther in-homer. Shazier is an early enrollee so he is pressed for time
- Nick Waisome (#10 CB on Scout) will also be taking a visit to LSU sometime in the nearby future
- Ja'Juan Story (#41 WR on Scout) was getting a lot of interest from LSU before he committed, and will likely get that attention even more now
- Not to mention guys like Ray Drew and Timmy Jernigan have all but eliminated Florida from their lists. Florida also was starting to show interest in Teddy Bridgewater, so that may end that as well. Curt Maggitt is another one that this helps big time for us.
Florida will need to find a coach soon as they had a good class going, unlike Miami, before teams like FSU and LSU start taking their pick of the litter

Aba needs to be on here 24/7 now as two of the big Florida schools are without a head coach to keep us updated. Like when a story breaks on Brett Favre, you know Ed Werder will be right there, Aba needs to be here covering Florida stories.
I also love how this "number crunched" class continues to get prospects thrown their way. It was hard enough just LSU alone, now Miami loses their coach giving us Teddy and Dak, and Florida gives us about 6 other prospects

I agree, but he is a HS senior and is probably preparing for exams

If he wants to be a recruiting reporter like us, he needs to make sacrifices

Pagan and Anthony would be a dream come true but likely Clemson.Hopefully we blow them away on the visit.
Waisome liked us a lot before commiting but he's a Gator at heart.Would probably flip to FSU before us.We'll see.
Shazier is the guy I think we could steal.Probably comes down to us and Ohio St.He'll visit them in the next week.Friends with S commit Jeremy Cash. The LSU visit jumped up quick and everything will move very fast for Shazier so if Les and co. can really bring their A game we could get him.I would be elated.
Ju'juan Story is another i'd love to have(probably top 3 wr in the class based on potential)but don't feel we;ll have much of a chance.Watch UGA.He contacted them about visiting along with FSU(his early favorite but they chose another guy;blanking on the name).
Hopefully we can make some waves here.Particularly with Shazier.

What are our chances with Jeff Driskel? I mean I'm sure he'd go with another SEC school. He already has offers from Us, Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. He was also in the swamp when we beat Florida this year, do you think we have shot at this kid?
Posted on 12/9/10 at 6:46 pm to christiananderson12
Driskel is one of the more solid commits to Florida in this class. I don't see him going anywhere
Posted on 12/9/10 at 6:54 pm to GeauxAggie972
Exactly, Driskel is the guy trying to keep the class together.I don't like him anyway.Immense tools but i don't see him being any more effective than Locker.Mirror images to me with locker being an even better athlete.Wouldn't turn him down mind you, just in case, but i 'm not high on him.Workout king.
