INT's can happen for alot of reasons besides a QB's decision making and accuracy.
Yet JL got thrown under the bus this year because of not only his numerous INTs, but due to the fact that an inordinate number of them turned out to be pick-6's (as if that has anything to do with JL).
Interesting double standard.

Unless close to every game the guy played, you saying he shouldn't be ranked #1 because of stats is just as incorrect as evaluating on one game.
I'm not saying he's not a beast. I'm saying it's BS that he dropped after a sub-par season, but then they use ONE FAKE GAME as an excuse to elevate him to the top spot.

A mediocre player is way less likely to step up on that All Star game, national TV stage and show what Barkley did.
I don't see why you would say that. I was mediocre in basketball in grade school (averaged ~8 pts/gaem) and just so happened to tear it up in the all-star game (22 pts).
Just saying, good players can have great games and shitty games. That's why I'm looking at a season instead of an allstar game.
Just IMO.

The only way someone could watch the games this weekend and think that Shep is the best player in the nation is if they are just flat out biased. 3 is still a little high imo.

More on Downs moving Up...He's their #4 DT. I.E. we have 2 top 10 DT committed.

This is a huge understatement.
OK then.
He can throw the foosball real, real, REAL far.
Happy Gilmore could hit the ball real far too. That didn't make him much of a putter, if you know what I'm saying.

Like I mentioned earlier, it seemed Barkley's line was light years ahead of the other teams. Every snap, Sheppard was off running right at the bat because someone was in the backfield. Barkley would have all day to throw the ball and still made bad decisions

Barkley reminds me of Stafford. You watch him throw the ball and it's mind boggling, then he gets in the game, makes some amazing throws and other than you just stratch your head over.
Luckily he'll be on the bench for 3 years anyway so he has plenty of time to improve his decision making

Randle drops from 6 to 10
Does that mean he's not going to bama or is it only rivals that downgrades players not going to bama.
Downs looked awesome at the UAAA game. :beast:

I didn't say Barkley was the best player. Bryce Brown is imo.

The only way anyone should move anywhere based on an all-star game with all kinds of BS rules and a week to practice is if they just do some unreal stuff that makes you go "Damn!".
The ONLY people I saw do that were Craig Loston and Eric Reid.

If Kennard wasn't injured, I bet a lot of services would have him #1 right now. Brown is a beast too though

Finally, an analysis from a USC fan, thank you. Why do you say he is going to sit on the bench for THREE years? I guess I'm missing something because Sanchez is going to be a senior along with Mustain

Well hell since senior stats matter so much lets sign this guy. Look at those stats he has to be better than JJ
Quit harping on ONE of my points and try to absorb the others.

Excellent comparison, IMO.
I think Stafford is getting way too much NFL cred based on his arm and way too little criticism for some poor decisions that he's made throughout his career.

Aaron Corp is a redshirt freshman and is the backup ahead of Mustain right now. Barkley will redshirt, sit for two more years and start as a junior.

Okay, thank you, forgot about Corp. You don't think Barkley can pass up Corp after he redshirts since Sanchez will start one more year?

barkley deserves that top spot
After watching the game he deserves the top spot. RR's ranking might be right.
Other LSU rankings seem a little low. However it's on the field where it counts.

3 touchdowns, would've been 5 if his quarterbacks could get him the ball, and Brown didn't make you say "Damn!"?????

Doubt it. Carroll normally isn't wedded to the older guy except at QB, where he almost always starts the older player. He loves Corp also, so it seems highly unlikely
