Dantreze Scott and Jaray Jenkins. I believe these two are highly underrated. My son plays for Jena so i have seen almost every game Jaray has played since pee wee ball. Great athlete that makes everything seem easy. Its a shame he missed his senior year but he should be 100 percent by time season begins. Reminds me of Chark except mote shiftier and better hands. He simply does not drop passes. Over the years i have seen him make some incredible catches. Just get the ball close and he will bring it down. He will make his mark early as a punt and kick returner. In open field he is electric, teams just quit kicking to him. Dantreze Scott i have seen in in scrimmages. For his size he has incredible speed and athletism. I actually believe he can be as good as Key by his second year. I think we have two diamonds in the rough in these two.

I hope you're right about Scott being as good as Key. It's very hard to get a read on him bc of the competition he plays. He man handles everyone. I believe you're dead on with Jenkin though. Very good WR. What I like about this group of WRs is their awareness of their position. They all know how to play it. The only guy I see that's in the mold of who we have already is the kid from around Morgan City, the bigger WR, who looks more like a stright line WR, who can catch in traffic and go deep for jump balls.
The rest are well rounded WRs and so is Giles. Giles is going to light it up next year and will be our best overall WR we've had in sometime. Not the most physical or fastest guy BUT he knows how to play his position. You look at the Saints WRs and they don't blow you away but they know how to play football.
That is what Orgeron looks for first in a recruit. Can this guy play his position, and then how good are his measurables. If LSU has the strongest and he's one of the quickest, he also plays his position smart, but he's 6'1 275 lbs. The guys not raw though, you simply have to help him mold his body and refine his play. A guy who is quick, faily strong, but raw, and he's 6'4 300 lbs, ranked higher than the smaller guy on potential, LSU knows that the first guy has what they want, need and O isn't afraid to grab him instead of the more popular pick.
He sees what he sees, and he's very good at it. Not pumping a darn thing, it's a track record he's got and I can see with my own eyes the difference in players we were going after, to the ones we go after now. O also knows that you have to have the right depth at each position, let them come in, see what you have when competing and then work the numbers out in the next recruiting class, until you have what you need. That's how he is going to build this roster up.
When you feel like you missed on one, identify a transfer, or JUCO kid early. I would even break it down to percentages on what we miss yearly, our needs, and identify these players ahead of time. Go replace the miss with a transfer, JUCO, or 5* player if possible. Keep great players on your roster from the QB to the Punter.
Don't let a player who isn't getting the job done, hold onto a scholarship. I really believe that is exactly what happened with the OL last year. It's kinda obvious to me after seeing the young guys play. Orgeron may not be Saban, but I truly believe that he will be better than Miles in time. He can't work miracles though. In 3 or 4 years he will have this LSU team playing the best football we've seen at LSU in a long time, and keep it stable.

Hope so....I’ll take a 3 Star kid that works hard EVERY day and WANTS to play at LSU over a 5 Star kid who’s been told how great they are their whole life and plays hard 2-3 games a year.

Honestly if the OL holds up we have a combination of weapons QB/WR that we haven't had in recent memory.
If they get in a rhythm we may see something we have waited for a long long time.
Besides having Aranda back with new studs on defense, this is the thing I'm most excited about next year. A wide open passing game.

Thanks for the insights. I agree that these two kids will surprise.

Unfortunately for them, their fates have been sealed by the recruiting Gods. They have been branded with the mark of the 3-star and that is a burden that has never been overcome by mortal man.
Sad, really.

Love for these two young men to prove the experts wrong and grow into great football players.

I’ve said this about Scott too.. he has great potential. Our receiving class is going to be special this year, if we get chase, it’ll just put us over the top
